Data on the Move: Seamless Transition from APCM to ATIPXpress
While data migration may seem daunting, with OPEXUS and iPSS’ expertise, the transition is smooth and stress-free.
OPEXUS and iPSS have worked with ATIPXpress customers, such as Nova Scotia, to complete their data migration from APCM to ATIPXpress. Following completion of ATIPXpress implementation, OPEXUS and iPSS partner with departments to kick off the migration process, ensuring a seamless transition from start to finish.
Why Migrate Existing Data?
Migrating requests into ATIPXpress provides departments with a unified record of requests and responses. This promotes a full transition to a single system and eliminates the headache that comes with storing data in multiple places or trying to export data from a decommissioned system.
What types of data can be migrated?
Requester Information
- Basic identification information
- Unique key: email address
Request Metadata
- Request information
- Unique key: request #
- Fees and billing information
Responsive Documents
- Original documents
- Final documents
Correspondence
Other data types are available on an ad-hoc basis
How the Process Works:
OPEXUS and iPSS sit down with departments to determine key decisions, map out a statement of work, and establish key deliverable dates. Timelines can vary, depending on selected methodology, version of the original system, and other factors, but generally take around two months to complete. Migration runs concurrent to the new request process, reducing the burden on teams and preventing any disruption to requestors.
OPEXUS and iPSS work hand in hand with departments to:
-
Identify the right data to migrate to balance completeness of data with cost and timeliness
-
Backup, validate, and map data from APCM to ATIPXpress using a test or staging environment
-
Convert, load, and transfer data, metadata, and documents into ATIPXpress
OPEXUS and iPSS are excited to continue to partner with our customers to ensure a smooth, seamless transition to ATIPXpress with the data they need to continue running their department ATIP program.
