Q: How is your education and past experience connected to your current role?

A: I have had a number of different roles in the software development process for many different firms. That experience has equipped me with problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box, which are essential in my role as a Product Manager. Additionally, it has taught me the importance of collaborating with diverse teams as we navigate and compromise to overcome challenges.

Q: What is the most satisfying part about the work you do every day?

A: The most satisfying part of my work is the opportunity to collaborate with various teams and provide solutions to competing priorities. It’s a rewarding challenge to find innovative ways to address different needs and contribute to the success of our projects.

Q: What do you believe is your biggest accomplishment at OPEXUS?**

A: One of my biggest accomplishments at OPEXUS was working with one of our largest customers in the Federal government. They appreciated our work, and their positive feedback really highlighted the results we achieved with the solution we provided. It was a great example of successful collaboration and impact.

Q: What do you think people misunderstand about your job?

A: People might misunderstand the collaborative nature of being a Product Manager. It’s not about being a solo decision-maker; it’s about working closely with cross-functional teams, considering diverse perspectives, and finding solutions together.

Q: What technology did you love as a kid, and how has that changed throughout your life?

A: I wanted the first 1983 Motorola DynaTAK 8000 cell phone. It was huge and I really, really wanted one. I think about that and look at my smart phone – 40 years the entire world has transformed.
