FOIA Technology Partner Showcase - Sunshine Week 2024
March 12, 2024 / #Open Government, #FOIA, #In-Person Event
Sunshine Week celebrates our FOIA community. Open government is a key component of democracy and Sunshine Week helps to shed light on initiatives that support this mission.
OPEXUS has devoted the last 30+ years to developing software that makes the lives of FOIA professionals easier. As we continue to learn from the FOIA community, we have embarked on several partnerships, rounding out our FOIA solution to create a comprehensive ecosystem of public records tools.
To celebrate Sunshine Week, we hosted our own FOIA Partner Showcase, to celebrate the critical work our FOIA professionals carry out every day and present them with solutions that can take their everyday operations to the next level.
OPEXUS partners Veritone and OpenText will each present their solutions, explain how they integrate with FOIAXpress, and highlight how they help FOIA professionals reduce backlogs, eliminate redundancies, and increase compliance with OIP policy so they can continue making a positive impact on society – without the administrative headache!
When: Tuesday, March 12, 12-1:30pm
Where: OPEXUS HQ, 1101 17th Street NW, 2nd Floor
Cost: Free, lunch will be provided for all attendees
About Sunshine Week
Sunshine Week was founded in 2005 by the American Society of News Editors and has evolved into a larger initiative to promote transparency in government, now coordinated by the Joseph L. Brechner FOI Project at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. In a country built on democracy, the need for an informed public is crucial; the FOIA process is a critical component in making that a reality.
